Dr. Hussain earned his Masters in Soil Science, and obtained Doctorate degree in Water Quality Management from Bio-resource Engineering Department of McGill University. His career spans over 15 years that includes experience across North America, and Asia. Dr. Hussain started his career as an Officer with Directorate of Land Reclamation in early 90s.During this period he worked on reclamation, irrigation and drainage projects with various national and international agencies including IMMI and JICA. From 2008-2012, he worked at McGill University on different research themes and innovative technologies focusing on removal of organic and inorganic contaminants from wastewaters. His work and expertise is well documented in top of the line peer-reviewed scientific journals and conference presentations.
Dr. Hussain has an extensive experience in water and soil analysis, and interpretation. His core expertise are in designing analytical procedures, QA/QC protocols, remediation and reclamation, salinity, environmental sampling and soil mapping. He also has an in-depth knowledge of biochemistry of wetlands and has been involved directly in conducting field studies in wetland environments. On the environmental side, he has assessed environmental impacts of projects on local hydrogeology, flora and fauna, and has command over all issues related to environmental site assessment and reclamation/remediation work.
