Dr. Tahir is an Environmental Soil Scientist and graduated from School of Environmental Sciences, University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada in 2000 and He worked in the same school as Research and Development Manager as well as a Lecturer until June 2007. He was involved as a team member in the execution and supervision of projects related to restoration of degraded soils through the use of municipality solid waste and wastewater treatment plant bio-solids, food serving and processing industry waste, and paper mill bio-solids and impacts of applied materials on soil and groundwater quality.
Dr. Tahir is a Professional Agrologist and is registered with British Columbia, and Saskatchewan Institutes of Agrologists. He has more than 10 years of direct experience in environmental assessment and monitoring, risk and impact assessment, remediation of contaminated sites and groundwater, identification of exposure pathways and groundwater monitoring for upstream and downstream oil and gas, mining and commercial sectors of Western Canada. He provided expert services to clients in mining, oil and gas, and industrial sectors in Western Canada including Rio Tinto Alcan’s Aluminum Smelter Upgrading Project at Kitimat, B.C, Teck Coal Chetwynd, BC, Pinchi Lake and Braylorne Tekla North Mercury Mines Decommissioning and Reclamation Northern BC, CNRL, Shell Canada, Imperial Oil, Suncor, ConocoPhillips, Enerplus Corporation, Harvest Corporation, Apache Canada, Devon Canada Corporation, Paramount Resources Ltd., TAQA North Ltd., Husky Energy, Lightstream Resources, and Advantage Oil and Gas Ltd., in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
